Costas Varotsos designed the scenery for the representation of Sophocles Antigone at the ancient theatre of Epidaurus (production of the Theatre Company of Cyprus, direction: Stavros Tsakiris). The scenery consists of a glass labyrinth, which separates explicitly the stage, while at the same time, due to the element of transparency, looks as if it does not possess material substance. The labyrinth also functioned as a suitable surface in order to be created a discourse with technology, by hosting video-projected figures on the scenery.
