Presenting an ensemble of architecture, nature and sculpture, the exhibition entitled Fresco bosco (curated by Achille Bonito Oliva) was hosted from June 23 to September 23, 2006 at the parks and gardens of the monastery Certosa di Padula in Salerno. The sculptures and installations of significant artists of the contemporary art scene were created with the aim of reviving a new interactive site, a meeting point for exchanging thoughts and views. Varotsos created for this exhibition the Horizon, a low and 50-meter long glass installation, which rests on the surrounding wall of the space and redefines its view in relationship with its natural environment.
